I'm an MBA- and CIMA-qualified CFO and COO with 20 years across VC-backed, PE-owned, and founder-led SMEs. Most of my career has been spent in situations where the business is under pressure — turnarounds, restructures, growth-stage companies that need operational discipline, and businesses preparing for fundraise or exit.
I've led 75-person teams, saved businesses within months of liquidation, rebuilt finance functions from scratch, and supported transactions including a $100m NASDAQ acquisition. The common thread is pace: getting in, understanding the situation quickly, and making things happen.
My approach is hands-on. I don't produce reports from the sideline — I sit in the SLT, manage teams directly, and take ownership of outcomes. That means KPIs, cash flow, board reporting, investor relations, ERP systems, team retention, commercial strategy, and often legal, HR, and facilities alongside.
I work best in environments where there's urgency, complexity, and a founder or board who wants someone to take control of the situation. If the business needs steady-state maintenance, I'm probably not the right fit. If it needs someone to stabilise, optimise, and scale — that's what I do.
